…great day with team Benefi Bland/Rourke as we make 26th out of 43 cars and FINISH the 9 challenging stages of the Caves Classic Rally. Thanks to Mick who managed to put on his super-man cape and trip over a drive shaft bolt at the Black Springs mobile service so we can replace, and to our now favourite random Irishman who loaned us a rattle gun and random bolt to continue the race. It was impossible to find him in a service park full of Irishmen to return his tools. You’d think they’d all @:^~/&* know each other!The Holden VY Ute is a step up in power and comfort – with air-conditioning from the other vehicles we have raced. The scenery was at it’s best in the Vulcan State Forest and surrounds. It was great to spend our money in the town to support local business at the Jenolan Holiday Park, Royal Pub, the Long Arm Farm Cafe and Caves Pizzeria.
